Housing Service

In case you don't want to stay in the student
residence, ESN will help you in finding an
apartment where to stay. We will offer
you a place according to the available
  apartments in town.

Send your requests to esn@liuc.it

NOTE: ESN is a non-profit association and it is acting as intermediate to
help erasmus finding an accommodation, therefore the association is not
responsible in case of complaints or issues between students and landlords.

Some practical tips about the two alternatives:

CAMPUS

  • You can choose between single room and double (shared) room. In the second case you can indicate a specific person you want to share the room with, or let the residence assign one.
  • Most of the erasmus students will live on campus, so you will be all together
  • It is very close to the class rooms (3 min walking).
  • The bus for the trips and for the night out for clubbing will leave from and come back to the campus, very early in the morning and very late in the night, so you will have to drive/walk home.
  • There is a cafeteria and a canteen in the same building, in case you don’t want to cook by yourself.
  • There are common kitchens if you want to cook by yourself or hang around with the other students.
  • It takes 5 minutes to get to the library and to the box studio (free wi-fi and there you can study, chat or do your group work).
  • Nearby the campus area there is the grocery bus stop (believe us carrying for 2 kilometers bags full of stuff o water isn't the best thing ever).
  • On the other hand we must admit that the price is quite high and room's internet connection is totally a shit (slower than university's and library's ones).

PRIVATE FLAT

  • Probably bigger rooms, and less people to share the kitchen with
  • Usually less expansive than campus.
  • Internet connection: In a flat the more you pay the faster you go, of course.

    Consider also:

  1.  There is the “neighbourhood issue”: if your neighbour is an old man or a family with children, the first time you have a party they will soon ask you to stop or even worse they will call the police (it happened plenty of times).
  2. During a boring rainy day, people on campus can easily go around with their pjamas on… you will have to dress up, go out and walk to meet your friends.
  3.  When you compare the flat's price and the campus one, please consider that usually the first is NOT all inclusive: you will have to pay for electric power, gas, water, internet and so on ... check first!!
Now it is up to you, again for further info do not hesitate and contact us!

PS: we want to remind all international students that, whether in the campus or in a private apartment, it is expected you to have sense of responsibility and respect for those around you, for example, when coming home late do not make noise in respect to those sleeping.
